About us
Living in Abeokuta meant few bookstores, and a trip to Lagos whenever we wanted a specific title. Two friends who love reading started LuminaHavenBooks so quality books would be easier to reach.
That’s how LuminaHavenBooks started: two readers in Abeokuta, tired of going to Lagos for a book. What stays with us now is hearing that it is good, at last, to have books here.
Books can change a life. Ours is to make those books more accessible to people everywhere — starting with readers in Abeokuta who should not have to leave town to find one.
A Nigeria where a good book is not a privilege of bigger cities. A fuller shelf, more times we can say yes when someone asks, and more people who grow a reading habit because the book is actually here.
